Storytelling for Change Workshop Series: Inspired by Edwidge Danticat

July 29 & 30 @ 9:30-11:30 am each day

Community Spring invites you to a free two-part storytelling workshop where we’ll use reading, writing, and conversation to explore how our personal experiences connect to bigger issues in the world around us—like violence, survival, and dignity.

We’ll be reading an essay by award-winning writer Edwidge Danticat that weaves together memories of fear, family, food, and power. Her stories will help us reflect on our own lives and how we carry culture, resilience, and resistance in our bodies and communities.

On Day 1, we’ll read together, discuss in pairs and as a group, and get inspired by powerful writing prompts.

On Day 2, we’ll dive into writing and have time to share and get supportive feedback. Whether you’ve never written before or write all the time, this space is for you.

This event counts toward court-ordered community service. For more information, contact awolf@csgnv.org.
